Digital Collectible Help
A digital collectible is also called an NFT and is a record which exists in an online database called a blockchain. The NFT is bound to a specific location on the blockchain (address) and can only be transferred or otherwise modified by someone holding the password key associated with that location. This combination of address & key is called a "wallet".
When you purchase or collect a Painmaker NFT, we will create a record of this tied to your location on the Phantasma blockchain. In order for our website to determine your blockchain location, you must have a blockchain wallet extension installed in your browser. Ecto is a wallet extension written for Phantasma and may be installed in Google Chrome via the link below.
When you create a new wallet in Ecto, you will be given a set of 12 code words as pictured below. In reality your key is a long string such as 4202080654afc57269b82f61836250cf2a2f15ab9ee70922baq9c3da92d2d105 and the code words are a way to represent this in a more human-readable way. As your blockchain address is also derived from your key, these 12 words alone represent your wallet and should be recorded securely to ensure the long term accessibility of your NFT.
When you have successfully installed Ecto and generated your wallet, our site will detect this and display a connection option like below. Clicking the connect button will pop up the Ecto extension which will ask if you agree to share your address with our site.
After successfully connecting Ecto to our site, we will display your blockchain address for confirmation and your NFT will be minted to this address upon submitting your order.
